What is Fluoroscopically Guided Procedures?
Fluoroscopically guided procedures are image-guided injections using anti-inflammatory steroids and local anesthetic. Physicians use Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) or Computed Tomography (CT) to ensure an accurate injection into the site of the pain.
Before the procedure, the physician will evaluate the patients source of pain, list of medications, and medical history. They will order an image of the are using either MRI or CT prior to the injection.
